Topic 1: Strengthening Criminal justice and prison reform 

Our Judicial systems fail to help criminals feel empowered to redress and atone for their mistakes. Researching crime statistics, and incorporating our human rights laws and principles, should help us fully grasp the current situation criminals face. The results of this research should give the delegates a clear idea of how they should come together and solve this crisis.  

 

Topic 2: Protection Racketeering 

Protection Racketeering is the act of paying money to a hazardous group (that usually organizes schemes) to protect themselves and their belongings. By funding criminal organizations, protection racketeering contributes to loss of order. Protection Rackets are also utilized by national governments during times of conflict. In order to promote international stability, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime must address this issue.
